Welcome to the United States Army's Child, Youth & School Services program at Fort Richardson, AK committed to supporting Soldiers and Families.
Our Mission is CaringChild, Youth & School Services is dedicated to providing quality care and services to the Families of our Fort Richardson community through diversified programming while supporting the mission.
The Army Soldier's workday differs slightly due to irregular or extended duty hours, deployments and temporary duty assignments. The challenges for care continue to grow as mission requirements demand more of the modern day Soldier. One significant difference is the Soldier may not have a choice when called for duty. "Child , Youth & School Services recognizes the challenges of our Soldiers and their Families. By offering quality programs and accountability for children and youth, CYSS reduces the conflict between mission readiness and parental responsibility!" Child, Youth & School Services responds to these requirements by providing
programs when our customers need us the most. To us, that means providing a
program that is open early morning, late evening, weekends and if needed 24
hours a day. |

- We support our Soldiers and Families with over 400 Facilities and 2,800
Family Child Care Homes world wide. 
Affordability
- We share the cost of care with Army Families. 
Quality
- We are assessed and accredited by "outside" professional organizations. In
fact, our Child Care Program is considered a "Model for the Nation".
